EVOLUTION

However “DDF” is a product of Planet Jump Rope, this double dutch demonstration team was the base of the foundation of Planet Jump Rope.

Touring through Japan in August 2003, the brothers Simon and Benjamin Mahy discovered the spectacular “Fusion”-style in double dutch, and together with Christophe the idea to bring this style to Europe was born. Soon, “ Double-D-Force ” was born... with growing succes!

Because of the renewing contribution, the demand for the DDF-demo grew very fast. Therefor, in the beginning of 2004, we decided to present ourselfs as an organisation: Planet Jump Rope vzw!

We also started the purchase of ropes and other rope skipping materials (DVDs, speedcounters, foam grips,...) under the name “Ropemania”.

Later, we decided to increase the supply of "recreative" competitions for beginners. In the meanwhile, the famous "Supercup" knock-out competition of PJR is very popular among young and old!

From then, things escalated a little... and the result was lots of new events organised or supported by PJR as a world record attempt in double dutch speed and the very first Double Dutch Contest in Belgium.

In 2008 we started with 2 new showteams: No Gravity and a youth team JunJun. We also organized with a big succes the DDCB vol.2 in the Stadschouwburg from Kortrijk.

The highlights for PJR in 2009 so far, was the sold out DDDC vol.3 in the Arenbergschouwburg from Antwerp, 3 brilliant supercups and the team DDF that went to a couple of new countries to perform.  On top DDF won the double dutch contest in Japan and Belgium.
